How are ESY Program FTE's and Costs Calculated?
Unlike the regular school year which spans 40 weeks, the duration for extended school year is 6 weeks. If a student's ESY program start and end dates indicate that he/she has been enrolled in a program for the entire 6 weeks, BOCES Direct will calculate a 1.00 FTE for that student for the summer. A.050 FTE will be calculated when the students is enrolled for the entire 6 weeks at "half-time".
