What are the different areas of Maintenance?
Where BOCES can select their participating component and non-component school districts. When setting up this screen, you should:
Select Button: Click the “Select” button. This will return a page of all public school districts in NYS.
Selecting the Districts: Choose the districts that you wish to activate using the checkbox located on the right side of the screen. For ease of locating districts, you may perform a district name search or filter by county.
Save your Selections: Once all appropriate districts have been checked, please click the “Save” tab. This will narrow down the screen, displaying only the selected districts.
Edit your Selections: Edit each of the selected districts by clicking the “Edit” icon to the right of each district. To ease the burden of data entry, general district contact information has been pre-loaded into the system. Please enter in other district information, such as the district alias, and school year start and end dates for the district. If the district is a component of your BOCES, please make sure the component checkbox is selected. If it is not a component, un-select the checkbox and specify the BOCES to which it is a component. Although the special education contact information has been pre-loaded, you may enter the billing contact information in for each district. Repeat the “edit” process for each of your selected districts.
