BOCES DIRECT Billing - How are the Program FTE's and Costs Calculated?
If a student’s program start and end dates indicate that he/she has been enrolled in a program for the entire month, BOCES Direct will calculate a .100 FTE for that student for that month. A .050 FTE will be calculated when the student is enrolled for the entire month at “half-time”.
Program placement for a full month enrollment is billed based on the following formula: Amount = Monthly FTE X (Tuition Amount).
If a student is enrolled full-time for the entire ten month school year, the Annual FTE will equate to 1.0.
For the short months of September and June when the school year is beginning and ending, respectively, a student’s FTE will be calculated at .100 as long as the student is enrolled for all possible school days.
