BOCES DIRECT Billing - How are the FTE's and Costs Calculated?
If a student’s start and end dates indicate that he/she has not been enrolled in a program for the entire month, the student will be subject to partial billing for the month. At the time of billing, the system will perform a week-by-week scan to see which weeks the student should be billed for in that month.
Students that are enrolled for the majority of a week (3 days) will be billed for that week. For each billable week in a month, students are given a .025 FTE. If BOCES Direct determines that the student should be billed for 3 weeks in a month, that student will have a .075 FTE for that month.
Program placement for a partial month enrollment is billed based on the following formula: Amount = .025 X (# of billable weeks) X (Tuition Amount) X (Full-time/Half-time).
